I love creating meals that are simple, healthy, and affordable, requiring minimal effort. Whether creating for lunch or dinner, this Greek Turkey Tzatziki Wrap has become one of our “go to” recipes. Thyme and Table kitchen products have become favorites in our home and offer both functionality and beauty of design all in one package.
The Pacific Northwest is home for us, which means we have many rainy days. The bright colors of these products warm my spirit on a dreary day and enhance my mood on a sunny one. Nature in its spring season brings beautiful colors to our lives, as do these new kitchen items! The combination of the spring season with these stylish new products renew my continued love for finding simple, healthy meals for those I love serving whether in my home, or bringing to a gathering.
This recipe is both very easy and customizable! Tailor it to you and your guests with specific preferences with the amount of turkey, veggies, olives, feta and tzatziki sauce. I enjoy providing all the ingredients, allowing people to pick and choose, piling on what they like with a “salad bar” feel where they have all the choices! That’s the beauty of a fresh and easy recipe. Everyone can make their own, and it provides a fun and “at ease” feel to an event, regardless of the nature. My son’s first birthday is coming up and we may very well be doing this easy meal to take the pressure off everyone, from the host to the guests with their preferences!
Serves 4
Tzatziki Cucumber Sauce:
2 cups of low fat yogurt
1 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp lime
1 English cucumber, sliced
1 tbsp garlic
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp pepper flakes
1/4 stone ground/whole grain mustard
Wrap Ingredients:
4 tortillas
3-5 pieces of shaved turkey per wrap
1 Red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 Green bell pepper, thinly sliced
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1/4 cup Tzatziki sauce (amount to taste)
2-3 tbsp feta cheese per wrap
1-2 tbsp sliced kalamatas to taste per wrap, or according to taste
Cavender’s Greek seasoning to taste (this seasoning really adds a nice flavor with a flavorful Greek finish, and allows people to add their own amount with a simple tzatziki sauce that isn’t overpowering for any one person’s taste).
The ability to provide guests to customize makes your entertaining experience to be more streamlined and simple which is always a plus, especially if you have little ones like myself when hosting an event, or preparing for one to take somewhere. This would also be a great park picnic recipe for a nice spring day!
By nature, I’m an “aesthetic enthusiast.” I love all the senses that come into play with making a meal…touch, taste and smell of the food, along with the visuals of the utensils. They bring beauty to meal creation and the social experience, whether it be family, friends or both.
The simplest of things bring me joy, including a variety of colorful, unique kitchen items. They provide beauty and aesthetics in a process, bringing me the enjoyment I need in a given moment!
These items are beautiful and functional and I am so excited to continue to cook, serve, and entertain with our upcoming events. I wasn’t able to use all of them for one recipe, but that’s part of the fun. The diversity of them is continuing to inspire creative energy for the next upcoming recipes, events, and is moving the creative juices to flow for the next recipe!
Beautiful, fun kitchen products continue to warm the cooking process and truly enhance my meal creations, rain or shine. How do you like to put color and joy into your day with both meals and meal prep to share with those you love? What dish are you looking forward to making soon in this colorful, fresh spring season?
